Teddy Klingensmith Obituary

Teddy Jay Klingensmith, 66, of Salem, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 21, 1959, Teddy was the beloved son of Donna Berry Klingensmith of Apollo, Pennsylvania, and the late Robert Klingensmith.

Teddy was a proud graduate of Leechburg High School in Vandergrift, PA, and later earned his HVAC certification, a trade he took great pride in throughout his working life. He spent many dedicated years in maintenance at Kensington Window before retiring. Never one to sit still, Teddy also served his community as a school bus driver in Jackson County and later drove in the oilfields for the Teamsters Union, working throughout the surrounding counties. No matter the job, Teddy was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to help wherever he was needed.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Teddy found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. He loved hunting and fishing, camping under the open sky, tending his garden, and being outside whenever he could. He was happiest with smoke rolling from the grill, cooking for those he loved, crafting with paracord, tying flies, or sharing his latest project with a proud smile. Music was always close by, especially the songs of Jelly Roll, which spoke to his soul. Teddy had a generous spirit — the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back and never hesitate to lend a hand.

Above all else, Teddy’s greatest love was his family and his dogs. He was a devoted husband, a proud father and grandfather, a loving son and brother, and a loyal friend. His laughter, kindness, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, Teddy is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Louise Camp Klingensmith, whom he married on September 4, 2004; his children, Dylan Klingensmith (Jamie) of North Versailles, PA, Sarah Hack of Port Charlotte, FL, Brandy Camp of Ravenswood, and Jessica Camp of Charleston; his cherished grandchildren, Derek, Ryker, Brody, Dara, Kayla, and Gavin; and his brothers, Terry Klingensmith (Lori) and Tim Klingensmith (Laurinda), all of Vandergrift, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

In addition to his father, Teddy was preceded in death by his children, Derek Klingensmith and Lisa Goodwin, and his grandchild, Elijah.

Teddy’s family finds comfort in knowing that his wish for cremation is being honored by Davis Funeral Home and Crematory of Salem.
